Republican leaders in Vermont announced a “Let’s Go Brandon” rally this weekend, Saturday, November 13th, in Brandon, VT. The new chairman Paul Dame is thrilled to bring people to his hometown at the onset of the VT GOP election cycle.
Paul Dame announced, “We have a lot of work to do over before the session starts in VT, but as I announced at Saturday’s meeting we are going to start with a little fun.”
The event will be selling merchandise to all rally members that sport the new popular quote, “Let’s Go, Brandon.” This phrase became a new republican motto in the wake of the NASCAR blunder, where an NBC sports reporter incorrectly stated people in the stands were shouting “Let’s Go Brandon” when they were chanting, “F--K Joe Biden.”
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the rally merchandise will go to the Brandon Area Emergency Food Shelf. “We are having hats, T-shirts, and bumper stickers designed and printed as locally as possible as our first step to making a small contribution to the local economy.” - Paul Dame, chairman of the VT Republican Party.
UPDATE: After the event, the food bank set to receive funds from the event refused the money, dening families in need of their assistance. The families of Brandon, VT are outraged at the actions of the food bank.
Dame expected a great turnout due to people in VT’s frustration toward The Biden Administration. “President Biden has done nothing to help the people of Vermont, so VT Republicans are going to do something to support the people of Vermont. And we’re going to start in my own hometown — Brandon, VT!”
He was not disappointed. Even with the cold weather and rain, they had a great turnout.
Dame continues to explain the frustrations of the VT people, “Joe Biden’s first year in office has proved to be the worst of any president in my lifetime. Gas prices are nearly double what they were a year ago. The reports on the costs of an average Thanksgiving meal is nearly double what it was a year ago. And in many cases, people are waiting weeks or even months to get certain supplies due to a terrible s(h)ipping container crisis. Most presidents try to act swiftly in the first 100 days, and President Biden has next to zero accomplishments as we approach the last 60 days of his first year.”
People on Twitter have accused Dame of hosting a slew of ‘Let’s Go Brandon” Rallies across VT. Dame responded, “Thanks for helping us get the word out,” after correcting the commenter that there is only ONE “Let’s Go Brandon” Rally in Brandon, VT, this weekend.
The trend has been set however, as new rallies are popping up.
